Responsible for several fieldwork activities, partnerships and interdisciplinary research projects focusing on history of construction and stucco decoration, technical skills, care and maintenance practices.

Prof. Dr. Edith Joseph
Conservation scientist. Specialises in the development of innovative sustainable solutions for the conservation of cultural heritage. Her research focuses on green technologies and sustainable conservation techniques.

Prof. Francesca Piqué
Chemist and conservator of wall paintings, head of the Conservation and Restoration Unit. Specialised in holistic conservation approach including technical and conservation studies of wall paintings and monuments, diagnostic investigations on causes and mechanisms of damage, development of treatments, long-term monitoring and maintenance. Several practical experiences in the conservation of immovable heritage, wall paintings, stone and archaeological sites.

Geographer, Professor of Applied Geomorphology. Head of the Competence centre Climate Change and Territory (CCCT) at the Institute of Earth Sciences. Lecturer and researcher in the fields of physical geography, Alpine geomorphology and geoarchaeology of the Southern Alps.
Dr. Nadim Scherrer
PhD in Earth Science. Head of the Art Technology Laboratory and lecturer in instrumental analysis. Core areas of expertise include scanning electron microscopy with elemental analysis, Raman spectroscopy and light microscopy.

Prof. Dr. Tiziano Teruzzi
Professor of Building Physics and Head of the Building Diagnostics Unit. Specialises in the physical processes affecting buildings in their interaction with the environment, the durability of building materials, building diagnostics, the monitoring of indoor climate, and the issue of indoor air pollutants.

Lecturer of Architectural Technology and researcher on projects on the management of existing buildings at the Politecnico di Milano. Since 2010, researcher at SUPSI, specialising in consultancy and applied research relating to building materials and their degradation mechanisms throughout their entire life cycle.
